Discussion Takeaways
- Power Packs partners with school districts and churches that serve as distribution sites for nutritious food packs for qualified families.
- Power Packs not only distribute packs of food, but they also provide nutrition education every week.
- People with very low food security tend to disengage within the household, leading to negative family dynamics.
- Food dignity means ensuring no one feels less valued by receiving expired or poor-quality food, but instead giving them the food they deserve.
#1 tip to improve access to healthy food
Treat everyone with dignity by offering the food they deserve, not just what's convenient. If it’s not good enough for your own table, it’s not good enough for anyone else's.
